Ben's surgery

Ben's surgery went very well. The sedation pre/post was the worst part. Ben was very upset due to the drugs and that results in a very upset mom, and Nana! We will know in three to four weeks exactly how successful the surgery was--80% of patients undergoing this procedure need no other surgical correction. Fingers crossed! We did our best to spoil Ben today. He literally went from 0 to 60 throughout the day. By 7pm he was playing with his Elmo balloons, eating cupcakes, and wearing out all three of us. Thank you to all our friends and family for the thoughts, prayers, emails, texts, phone calls, and visits. We are fortunate to have such a happy and healthy little man, and for that we are truly thankful.
