Trip to Guemes Island

We took a last minute trip to Guemes Island this week with the Virnigs. We stayed at the Guemes Island Resort which is right on the water and very nice. With the water view surrounding us we ate, played with the boys, and explored on the beach. The highlights for Ben were splashing around in the water in his boots, playing and feeding Poppy (with Carla's help), and collecting "bugs" or crabs. It was a great trip.

Ben's eye surgery is scheduled for Nov. 9th. At the last appt. the measurements were confirmed and is was evident that the patch worked. His one eye is now stronger and he doesn't seem to favor one eye--a good setup for surgery success. It should be quick and painless for Ben, but it won't be for us. We'll let you know how things go for the little man.
