Our little man

"I want some milk in this house!" That is what Ben told me the other day, after I had told him I would get his milk out of the car when I was done feeding Ty.

"That's pretty cool" Ben has liked having his window down in the car--we rolled it down as we were going through a tunnel last night and this was his comment.

My mom has taught Ben to make "girlfriend" eyes, or if you ask to see his beautiful brown eyes, he will open them very big and slowly blink them. I tried to catch it yesterday.

Ben and Ty...

All is going very well around here. I'm not sure if it is the "big baby" factor or the fact that we've done this once before and are a bit more relaxed, but Ty has been a very easy baby up until this point. Knocking on wood right now!

I've been getting about seven-eight hours of sleep with one wakeup in there, couldn't ask for anything more. Drew also makes sure I'm in good shape. This helps in keeping up with Ben! Nana has been here a lot taking excellent care of us all--bringing lattes in the morning, exploring all sorts of playgrounds with Ben, doing dishes, cooking, and laughing with me along the way on this crazy ride. Ben seems to be doing well with it all. He has his moments, but being two and a big brother is a lot. Ben is the best source of comic relief in the midst of all things newborn.

We have our new challenges (mobilization takes hours sometimes?!!!!), but it is well worth it--Ben and Ty are worth it.

Jill ("ill" Ben says) and Jenny stopped by the playground to see Ben and Ty.

Ben's haircut thanks to Nana!

Ty has arrived!

Tennyson James joined us last Saturday morning, finally! As Drew and I had one last date at Jak’s, contractions really started to progress and off we went to the hospital. We had a great nurse named Dave, think cute version of Mr. Clean, and my Ob came in to deliver Ty. She also delivered Ben so I was extremely pleased to have her there. Only a few hours and pushes later (and with a very effective epidural), Ty was born. We couldn't be any happier to have two healthy boys. Thank you everyone for the support during the last few weeks--hopefully everyone can meet Ty soon.

Proof, how did that happen?

Waiting for brother

We did a lot while waiting for Ty to arrive--one day we went to the Locks. Hard to believe Ty came a week later!

Big Brother Ben

Ben is up to all kinds of new "two" things...(finger)painting, eating at his new table and chairs, and turning any vertical pole (including our legs) into a firepole. Some things Ben says lately that make us smile and scratch our head..."I don't sink so," "How bout a little bit of ______," and "no worries momma."
