Now a little boy...

Ben turns 18mos. old tomorrow, hard to believe. We are so fortunate to get to spend everyday with him. Ben is up to a lot these days: climbing and wanting "up," looking at you very seriously and saying "I know," clanking wine glass and bottle saying "ting," always saying "no," he now calls all six(?) stuffed animals by name and still "an-mal," when upset moaning "no way," getting more molars :(, giving kisses (my absolute favorite), always drinking the bath water, sitting through a whole book and sometimes twice--his newest fav is My Dad is Awesome, a Father's Day gift for Drew, and daily making Drew and I look at one another and just smile.

Side story...yesterday I ran Greenlake while Drew and Ben went to the playground. As I walked up to the playground to find them, this is what I found. A mom spinning the merry go round with her little girl on it and Drew sitting on it and Ben in his lap. One of those moments I won't forget.

We went to the Greenlake Community Center for their helmet and lifevest event. Ben had a Coast Guard Auxillary member help him out, he was very curious at first! We are ready for Priest Lake now.

D.D.S.--Drew Did Super!

And, he is now Dr. Heidergott, Doctor of Dental Surgery. June 6 was a great day. We got to celebrate Drew's awesome accomplishment with both family and close friends. Drew has worked his tail off the last four years, he has remained a wonderful and loving husband, and he has become the most nurturing and patient dad to Ben. I could not be more proud of him. Thank you and we love you Drew.

After graduation

Aunt Karen was harassed for coordinating this picture, but it turned out so great! I'm glad she ignored all of us--thanks Karen! At the Heidergott's Jake drove Ben around in his car at a speed he had never experienced, and he loved it! Notice in the picture that Jake's feet aren't even on the ground...a funny moment that evening. Thanks Sandy and Kurt for a great gathering.

A visit to Farrel McWhirter Park

A whole lot of babies...

At the farm we got to see baby chickens, goats, horses, and the cutest--piglets. I'm standing next to a tree's roots that came up during the wind storm a few years ago, pretty amazing. It was a great morning with Jamie and Matthew.

Spokane

We headed over to Spokane last weekend for Grandma Ruthie's memorial gathering. It was a wonderful opportunity to remember and celebrate Ruthie with friends and family. Oh and Ben got a lot of attention.

Combat Consignment Shopping

Tonight Ben discovered the fun in wearing mom's sunglasses. And, he got to ride his new Radio Flyer Little Red Roadster...I found the roadster at the Kids Sale, an extremely large consignment sale I went to for the first time. It was combat consignment shopping, but fun and successful.

Poolside beverages and such

We have definitely enjoyed the warm evenings in Seattle and Spokane. We set up the pool, dusted off the fans, and put a "picnic" together to celebrate the heat. We are also missing the AC in Spokane!
